For most (if not all) of us, getting over an ex isn’t easy at all.
But with so much bad advice out there about what to do to move on after a breakup, how is anyone supposed to know how to, well, move on? While we wish the answer was simple, realistically it isn’t‘so black and white That said, there are a few things you can do to help you get over the hump and really get over your ex once and for all. Here are some of the best ways to do it.
1. Stay busy
Although it may sound painfully simple, you‘You’d be surprised what keeping busy can do when it comes to helping you get over an ex. We don’t just hope it will stop you from focusing on what they‘they are doing it why‘we don’t text you, etc., but it can also be a good way to improve yourself and focus on the things that really matter.

2. Focus on friends
Speaking of focusing on the things that really matter after a breakup, your friends should be on that list. When you have extremely fulfilling relationships in your life outside of just your romantic relationship, you can better understand your worth and forget how bad a breakup can make you feel.
3. Do more of what makes you happy
A general statement, yes, but not that‘I don’t make it any less true. Whether you like to paint, exercise, or even just hang out with the aforementioned friends, doing more of whatever makes you happy can do wonders for your mental health when you’re trying to get over an ex.

4. Test some statements
You might be surprised at how powerful the right words can be, even if you‘you are only talking to yourself. if you‘you’re struggling to get over an ex, try writing down and repeating some affirmations, even if they’re as simple as “i am worthy“ or “i am loved“

5. Remember That They‘you are not yours ‘person‘ for a reason
If nothing else, it can help you get over a breakup when you remember that you and that person did it‘it doesn’t work for a reason. Whether you were the one who left things or they were, something wasn’t right‘Not quite right in the overall equation of your relationship, and that’s okay! Someone out there will fulfill all the things this person did‘t for you, and it’s okay if you take time to find that person.
