After a year of dating, Adam Brody and Leighton Meester surprised fans by tying the knot in a top secret exchange of vows in 2014. During an appearance on Sirius XM’s The Jess Cagle Show on March 8, 2023, l ‘star of The OC opened its doors. about that special day and how marrying the Gossip Girl alum was a no-brainer. “My wife and I got married very quickly after we started dating,” says the actor. “So it’s an easy decision for me and for us. I was never afraid of the idea of marriage or children. It always felt like a route I was going to take [down] finally, and I was thrilled when it came together [and] when I met the right person.”
Brody and Meester met when Josh Schwartz, who produced The OC and Gossip Girl, introduced them in the mid-2000s. Brody was unable to refute this assumption until he got to know Meester better when they worked together on The Oranges in 2011. In February 2013, Us Weekly announced that the actors were dating. They tied the knot a year after news broke that they were dating, but the couple didn’t reveal any details of their big day as it was a private and secret affair. Since becoming husband and wife, the couple regularly attends red carpet events together. Their last date night took place on March 14, 2023 at the premiere of Shazam! Fury of the Gods in Los Angeles. For the event, Meester wore a metallic copper dress and fringe, while Brody sported a navy suit and white button-down shirt. While talking to Entertainment tonight, Brody shared the meaning of his hairstyles. “She has the same haircut as our daughter, and I have the same haircut as my son right now, like a curly mullet,” he says.
In an interview with Access in March 2022, Meester opened up about her husband’s parenting style. “He’s everything I imagined he would be as a parent when we decided to have kids,” he expressed. “It’s really amazing.” Brody also often talks to the press about his feelings for his wife.
