Full Stop Australia CEO Hayley Foster says she will focus on efforts to tackle the “huge problem” of sexual and domestic violence on dating apps by implementing identity checks for users.
“Three-quarters of users report some form of experience of sexual violence,” Foster told Sky News Australia.
“So today the key changes we’re asking for are dating app users having to undergo ID checks to use the app.
“If we know who’s on the apps, we can hold people accountable and they can’t delete their account when they’ve been abusive and then start a new one.”
