Yep, we hiked 40km (25 miles) in the Netherlands, in 1 day. Why?! It may be what you think. We love hiking, but normally we’re hiking in the mountains. We’ve never walked 40km on a straight road. However, one day we’re discussing how to prepare and test our gear for our upcoming Everest Base Camp hike in Nepal. Obviously, there are no mountains in the Netherlands, so the only solution to make a hike difficult is to make it a long-distance walk! And it turned out not to be that boring!
