The case of the suspicious death of a Bengaluru hostess has taken a turn with the investigation revealing that her boyfriend pushed her to her death while warning him of legal action for not marrying her, they said on Tuesday police sources
The events took place on March 11. According to police, the two met through a dating app and fell in love.
“During the last three months, deceased Archana was forcing her boyfriend Adesh to marry her. But, the accused did not show any interest and postponed it giving various reasons,” the police said.
The late air hostess, who came to Bangalore from Dubai, had tough talks with him about the marriage. She had told him about her family looking for alliances.
This had led to arguments between them and the victim, Archana had warned her to take legal action against him.
Police investigations have shown that accused Adesh, enraged by this, allegedly pushed her out of her apartment and killed her.
Police said that after killing her, the accused had called the victim’s father and claimed that his daughter fell from the building in a drunken state. He had also called the police and informed them about the incident.
The police arrested the accused following a complaint by the parents of the deceased hostess.
They suspected the role of the accused boyfriend and even accused him of throwing her out of the building.
On March 11 (Saturday), the incident of the hostess, who flew to Bangalore to meet her male friend suspiciously jumping from the apartment, was reported in Bengaluru.
The incident had taken place on the premises of Renuka Residence in Koramangala town on Friday midnight.
Archana, 28, was from Himachal Pradesh and worked for a reputed airline. The accused, Adesh, is from Kerala and works in Bangalore.
A case of cops helping thieves?
A constable of the Banashankari police station has been suspended over the allegation that he assisted in a robbery. He was working as a constable in the crime branch of Banashankari station. The police had arrested a gang involved in robberies.
During the questioning of the accused, the robbers gave information about the role of the police in the robbery. Because of information about his role, the policeman was suspended and an investigation was ordered.
