Tinder, the world’s leading dating app, has introduced new features, including relationship types, pronouns, and relationship goal updates, to promote genuine connections and accommodate various relationship preferences. A recent Tinder survey found that 73% of young singles value clarity about their potential match’s intentions, with many opting for authentic and honest profiles.
New features include relationship type, which allows users to indicate their relationship preferences, such as monogamy, ethical non-monogamy, open relationships, polyamory, or exploring. Pronouns on Profile allows users to select up to four pronouns from a list of over 15 options, catering to the rapidly growing LGBTQIA+ community on Tinder. Relationship Goals, a previously launched feature, allows users to specify their intentions, with 40% of users looking for long-term relationships.
These features support the evolving landscape of dating and relationships, encouraging open communication and fostering more meaningful connections between users.
