Keke Palmer has opened up about her relationship with sex and Whoopi Goldberg’s life-changing advice.

In the latest episode of his podcast, Baby, this is Keke Palmerthe Nope star talked about how watching porn has altered her perspective on sexual pleasure.

“My identity with sex was always based on, ‘Oh, I just have to do this service,'” she explained. “And my enjoyment, any enjoyment I had at that time, at that time, at that time, came from, ‘I’m glad they’re happy.'”

“That was depressing and it’s not enough,” she continued, “because I realized, like, ‘Well, wait a minute, it’s not you, you know what I’m saying?'”

The 29-year-old actor then recalled a piece of advice he received from The View co-host Goldberg while appearing on the talk show.

“I’ll never forget, I was on The View once, and they were having a conversation about sex, a really great conversation, and Whoopi Goldberg said, ‘Please start liking yourself.’ And I said, ‘This it rings true,'” he recalled.

Palmer also admitted that she has never had a “happy ending” from “fake” sex, and revealed that she now prefers to have an emotional connection with her sexual partner.

“There was a time in my life when I thought that pornographic pretend sex, because that’s what porn looks like to me: pretend sex, was something that could be interesting or fun,” she said. “But I’ve never really had a happy ending, if I’m being, you know, mildly frank.”

He added: “I’ve only had a real happy ending from a more modest, calmer, more emotional approach.”

Palmer has been open about her dating history and sexuality in the past. Earlier this month, the Nickelodeon alum spoke candidly about his sexual fluidity, admitting that he doesn’t identify as straight.

“I’m definitely in the middle of the scale. I’m definitely even across the board,” he said during a recent interview with The FUCKING decisions podcast “I feel like love is love, life is life. Do your thing, live your life. That’s how I feel.”

In 2015, Palmer released a music video for the single “I Don’t Belong to You”, which featured a queer storyline with singer Cassie. talking with people at the time, Palmer said, “The video had to represent the young woman of today, no longer the traditional woman, and not the details of ‘Am I gay? Am I straight? Am I bi?’

“I’m making the rules for myself and I don’t have to be stuck to one label,” she added.

Most recently, Palmer has been romantically linked to Insecure actor Darius Jackson.
