Nikko completes its management shakeup following the resignation of MD George Carter.

Nikko AM has appointed Kady Buchanan as its new senior relationship manager.
Buchanan joins with almost 20 years of global institutional equity and real estate sales experience, gained through roles at UBS Investment Bank in New York and London, and BTIG and Habitat Property in Hong Kong. Your appointment allows it Sam Bryden to the role of head of distribution and completes a management reshuffle led by long-time head of equities Stuart Williams, replacing George Carter as managing director.
Buchanan says she is excited to return to the fund management industry with Nikko AM, having spent the past decade managing international real estate transactions in Hong Kong.
“Whether working with equities or real estate, I’ve always prided myself on developing strong relationships with my clients, so the role here feels like a perfect fit for me. Nikko AM has such a strong reputation globally and I’m excited to joining the NZ business to help it continue to grow its retail and institutional investor reach.”
Williams says Buchanan’s appointment will support the seamless transition of key staff into new roles and allow the business to remain focused on its growth objectives.
“With her international experience, market knowledge and interpersonal skills, Kady presented herself as the outstanding candidate for this role and we are delighted to welcome her on board.”
